Japanese quality control??greenspun.com : LUSENET : Camera Equipment : One Thread |
Has anyone else had this may problems?? Over the last two years I have "upgraded" my camera system by adding a Nikon F100,24-120 3.5-5.6 , 50 1.8, 85 1.8 & 180 2.8 lenses. The results from this equipment has been less than acceptable. The combination of the F100 & any of the above lenses more often than not led to out of focus images. The camera 24-120mm & the 85mm 1.8 lenses were sent back to the local Nikon centre for repair & adjustment. The 24-120 has been returned with a work order marked "adjust focus". The F100 & 85mm 1.8 have had to be sent to the main Nikon centre for further repairs. I find this an unacceptably high failure rate. It would seem that since the the Japanese disbanded the JCII inspection agency that Japanese camera quality or at least quality control has deteriated.
