Can anyone tell me of their experiences using this developer, dilutions,temps.,times, using glossy Ilford Warmtone FB.

SS is a slow, low contrast developer that works well in combination with Dektol to moderate paper contrast beyond the grade of the paper. If you find a 3 paper to contrasty you can develope it for 30 seconds in SS then 90 seconds in Dektol. This might give you a 2 1/2 grade contrast. Use at standard temps and dilute 1:1. I've used it extensively with the now discontinued Ektalure.

I mostly mix my own developers now, but I have used Selectol Soft quite a bit in the past. It is a metol-only formula that gives soft contrast. It is good if you have a grade 3 paper but need a grade 2- 1/2. I agree that it is often best to use Selectol Soft in conjunction with a standard developer like Dektol to get the blacks developed sufficiently. I usually used it straight or diluted 1:1.
