: You can really tell that he is in it to help other people.
Hmm, anyone ever seen This?
It's Larry Sanger's review of Jim Lord's Pentagon Papers. A couple weeks ago, I posted a crude information flow diagram, trying to explain the difference between first tier folks like Lord, and second tier folks like Sanger. What fascinates me about this editorial is that Sanger is desparately trying to rationalize Jim Lord as a rational alarmist, as opposed to Jim Lord, demagogue.
I encountered something siilar with Milne, there's a cadre of folks on c.s.y2k (the population changes), who try to apologize for Milne and clean up his messes afterwards. Generally painting him as a concerned activist for preparedness, despite his tendency to gloat, post false information in order to forward his "run away NOW!", and demonstrate raw hate for anyone who disagrees with him.
I imagine that this is part of the whole messianic approach to Y2K- since TEOTWAWKI is so soon now, we'd better sweep all the differences under the carpet until then.

That was a logical progression for the Instant Expert. There were many who argued that his site like most of the Doomzie Y2k sites had no redeeming social value and was pornographic anyway.

Gee cpr, that porn site sure was funny; you sure are a funny guy. It took 5 trys to get out of there and now I'll be on their spam list for life. Gee cpr, that sure was funny.

Try this if you need "instant salvation' for your sins of clicking ng on the X site when you KNEW it was an X site. SHAME:http://www.landoverbaptist.org
Post was marked as going to X site. If you clicked through for PURIENT REASONS, you got what you should have expected. If you clicked further to find the hard core or whatever stuff, you might even have the penis shaped cursor by now. SHAME ON YOU. SHAME I SAY. God will punish you for that and before you can use up all the liquid you were saving in the barrels in the basement since your father told you to save it for the right girl. SHAME. SHAME.
Since you seem to be a joiner (militia.com), try the universal fix:
ctrl-alt-del and bring up all I.E. windows open. Highlight all holding down ctrl again. Then "end". Closes all at same time.

IF you don't get enough redemption on the first link above try this one (sure to work). Follow instructions carefully even though I suspect you might have to shorten what might already be something most inadequate now.

Since the Y2K insanity, Larry has received his Ph.D. and is now moderating NuPedia, an attempt to build an open content encyclopaedia on the web. He's outgrown this.
