Anyone have a recipe for old time way of making hominy?

I don't have access to my copy at the moment but if you can lay hands on a copy of Putting Food By there are four different recipes in it for making hominy using either lye, wood ashes, pickling lime, or baking soda. If you don't have a copy of your own (and you should, it's the best food preservation book published) you can probably get a copy through your local library.
