Gas Prices

The gas debate has been all very enlightening I must say!! My parting comment on it all is that whatever and whoever is responsible high transportation costs will mean higher prices in the store. Higher prices in the store mean higher wages to pay for them. In other words - inflation - which does nobody any good. It OUGHT to mean that we all eat local food instead of transporting it from Mexico to New York but in reality people still want their sweet peppers so instead of scaling down their expectations they demand more income. Hope this note doesn't start a new political debate!! Sarah.

Yes it OUGHT to mean that we all consume local products, but the truth of it is that many folks will not change their ways and will demand ever more income. Many Countrysiders produce much of their own foods, harvest firewood to heat with however very few from the larger cities have never planted a seed or picked a fresh tomato to eat. They will demand larger salaries to maintain livestyle that they have.

A political debate causes some to see RED but it does get everyone's blood flowing. And we all need to exercise our first amendment rights less we all lose.
