Sure, if the computer was good enough. My actual soul would still die, but there would be someone to write my daily online journal. :) One can only wonder how much change people would notice ... if I ever reach the pension age, I'll probably spend all my time at the computer anyway!

Hopefully my web pages will be preserved after I die, and they contain as much of my personality as I can fit into them. So, in a sense, I have. My 'voice' will still be speaking, although I won't say anything 'new'.

I couldn't do it. I just couldn't do it. It's hard to explain, to put it into words, but there is only one of "me" - I don't want to share, and I don't want to dilute who I am. I don't want second best - I want it all, I want to be complete, or I want nothing. I guess it's the only thing that is truly "mine" to cherish and respect. My personality is a respository (result) of experiences and memories. It just wouldn't be the same to express a smile with a little icon smiley face, instead of the flash of white teeth.

In a way my personality is already there, in my Diaryland archives. Probably more of it than the average bear knows. From it I am trying to get together a little book for my offspring (the youngest will be 38 this month, July 2001) telling them how things were through my eyes from my first awareness in about 1925 or so. They want to know how it was to a plain ornery kid and my reaction to the Depression, etc. Hope I can do it right for them.
