THANK YOU TO ELIZABETH IN E TX. I LOOK FORWARD TO YOUR BLACK CURRANT JUICE RECIPE. I THINK I SAW THE JUICE AT HY-VEE ONCE. IT TASTES VERY MUCH LIKE GRAPE, BUT SHOULD BE HIGH IN VITAMIN C. ALSO WOULD LIKE TO HAVE A CHEWING GUM RECIPE. WAFFLES SHOULD BE A SNAP, SINCE WE HAVE A NICE IRON. ALSO DO ANY READERS HAVE EXPERIENCE WITH EUCALYPTUS MULCH? I HEARD IT IS GOOD FOR MOSQUITOES, SO I WILL GIVE IT A TRY THIS WEEKEND. WE HAVE LOTS OF EDIBLE SHRUBS LIKE CURRANTS AND ARONIA (BLACK CHOKEBERRY).

Hi, I'm trying to figure out how to get the juice out of my blackcurrants. A jelly bag is too much work. Last year a picked about 90 lbs. I've been told that a Mehu - Maija steel steam juicer works well. Does anybody know. Noboddy grows currants around here. It seems to be the only fruit I grow well. I really would love some hints and or recipies.
