Some thoughts. [Jesus Christ reference included within]greenspun.com : LUSENET : Freedom! self reliance : One Thread |
After much time spent ponderin my fate at C.S. forum I've come to a conclusion--finally!First-C.S. forum does belong to the Belangers and they DO have control over it. It is a fine place to go for information and for that we all should thank the Belangers for providing the location to post. I wish them well.
I'm not angry anymore over being deleted because I was "on their turf" and they DID have the right to censor I guess eventhough a thread asking for pagans, heathens etc was allowed awhile back.
Second. I'll not apologize for what I wrote and never will. I was doing what He asked me to do the night before. He told me what to post and I did it! I also knew it would cause problems but that's not my battle. Witnessing IS my job.
I would ask that ya'll be slow in cancelling your subscriptions to the CS magazine. I've paid up for a spell and AM NOT about to cancel. It's a good publication and I'll just go ahead and keep it. I may not renew when it's due but in the meantime----.
I've also been condemned by other Christians for posting what I did as they never would do such a thing. To them I say "Fine". He hasn't called ya'll to do it apparently. I will not carry my witnessing over to a Christian Forum. I'm not called to "preach to the Choir". Jesus Christ Himself didn't preach in the churches, temples. He went to where those were that needed Him.
Now about the old hootster--I think it would be in order to take a few days off and await His direction as to where to move to. I'll not post on the cs forum anymore if I have to deny Jesus Christ.
So, ya'll cool down a mite and let things kinda settle some. I'm over my mad and lookin forward to where He leads me.
Thanks folks. Yeah, emails ARE welcomed at the "house of hoot". Matt.24:44

Hoot, bless you! I want to let everyone know that I have never called for folks to cancel their subscriptions. If you find it to be good info and a company you would like to support DO SO. Don't cut off your nose to spite your face.

Those who decided to cancel their subscription and quit buying the mag, decided to out of their own internal moral code. If the mag wanted us Christians then they wouldn't pick us out of the crowd to delete. Hoot the choir loves you too. How about not preachin to us, but fellowshipping with us? Some of us young'ns need a more experienced voice in our lives that understands homesteading as a christian.Little bit farm

Thanks for the gentle words. I choose to not renew my subscription when it comes due. This whole mess is not a censorship issue so much as a personality clash to me. Maybe I did make it sound like censorship was my main issue, sorry for that. Maybe today I can make a little more sense. My main beef is that the one person who was reckoned to be worthy of his own spot on the CS site, was allowed to post his heart and say what he thinks, and given "editorial License" comparitivly speaking to the rest of us, has the props knocked out from under him for asking people to speak up and be counted in an area clearly noted (Warning: Christian material!) by someone who ALWAYS included christian material.
One of the other boards I frequent was started from a similar list compiled from CS posters. I didn't have a problem w/ that - heck I like a bunch of those folks and go to that board for a look see almost daily. Fairness issue? I don't know.
Maybe Hoot ws trying to compile a mailing list for fund raising so he could become a big time TV Tele-evangelist. And then use that list and us gullible fools, for seed money for the HOOTWORLD

Some how I submitted before I was done ranting! I hate it when that happens. OH well, I hope you got my point before I was derailed.Maybe it was a Fruadian slip - That's where you say one thing and mean your mother. I don't now or have I ever wished any ill will to anyone in regards to this computer world out there. I'm going to take a break for awhile. I'll see ya all in a week or so. JOHN

Hi all, as you know I said I wouldn't be posting anywhere due to no time this summer, well I found a few minutes here and there-mostly because of the weather. Something was nagging me this morning to read here(all that rain has something to do with it). Wow, Barb said stuff was a-happening. Anyway. Hoot, sorry you were censored, that's not a nice feeling and it is the reason I left Cside. I guess they have some lessons to learn-like a house divided....just imagine how people will feel when they realize their fate for rejecting Christ.I canceled my subscription after much prayer. I don't miss it, but I miss the opportunity to learn. But there's a season for everything, and I'm sure God will lead us to where the learning is best-like this forum and/or another magazine, etc.

You'd think by now could type in my e-mail address correctly, oh well.

Hoot, I am not a Christian. I was raised in a Christian home and all of my extended family are Christians. I have always enjoyed your stories, wisdom and help. I must commend you for this post, as it shows that YOU are doing this in a Christian manner. I applaud you for your beliefs and your way of sharing them. Christians are supposed to witness. You are doing this in a nonoffensive manner. Do not be discouraged. Lots of folks love you everywhere. Terri
