My local church begins VBS this week. We provide this ministry daily between the hours of 8:30AM - 12:30PM for one week. VBS offers a great time to synthesize evangelism, Bible cathechism, arts & crafts, music and most importantly FUN for kids ages 3 - 14. As a former VBS Director I know from first hand experience the excitement and joy which radiates from children due to this special summer program. If your local church, or some other church, is planning VBS consider taking your kid[s] or someone else's child to VBS. It is time well-invested. It is my sincere prayer that no child should be deprived from this wonderful activity. QED

This year, our (St. Paul - Columbus) VBS is June 25 - 29. For many years now we have had an evening school with classes for all ages. Even when we did have a morning school, it has always been for all ages - K - adult. We now meet from 6:30 - 8:30, but it wasn't so long ago that we met from 6:00 - 9:00. Now, it seems people are just too busy to devote three hours for a week. In fact, when we met for three hours, we had a 2-week school.VBS can be a very exciting and productive time and so much can be accomplished with a concentrated time of 5 or 10 nights of study and fellowship. VBS can also be a time of outreach to those who are not involed in a local church or as is more likely the case, a time of fellowshipping with those from other churches. I know of some people who used to go to several VBS's during the summer.
