Thank all of you so much that responded to my gettin' hitched post. You are all just the best and I wish I could hug each and every one of you. Thanks so much for all the advice and stories.

Thought I'd fill you all in on some of the details about us since everyone seems so interested. I'm 43 and Joe is 41. This will be my 1st marriage and Joe's 2nd. (His 1st ran off and left him with a baby 10 years ago so she could have a guy who made more money.) Joe is an electrician who likes working on guns for fun. Pharmacy software is what I do, but a deep ecologist is what I am.

Now some of you are wondering why I waited till I was 43 to get married. The simple answer is I had to date for 26 years before I found someone I could stand to be around everyday. Also I didn't want to reproduce and now my excuse is I'm too old!!! LOL

I think we are leaning toward Eureka Springs,Arkansas for the hitchin' and honeymoon. It's not THAT far away from the Kansas City area where we're from. We are planning this event for July 19th which is 4 years to the day that we met face to face. We originally met over the internet and wrote back and forth for a while before actually meeting. I'd say it was love at first sight, and we've been together ever since. No we don't live together, I'm too old fashioned for that.

Well, that may be more than you wanted to know huh?

Eureka Springs chamber of commerce sends out a good information and if you tell them your getting married and the places that offer weddings will each contact you. I lived in Eureka for a while and have been up there several times so if you need info please email me. :) Sherry

Yeah Debra! I would have waited until 50 with not only willingness but relish, but then I had to go and fall for my best good buddy of 4 years, and now I'm married to someone about 20 years older, and I'm way happier than most married folks I know. I didn't think I could have babies, that's what those learned gentlemen told me, but now she's 16 monthes old, and I think whatever gods may be.
