I would like to know if anyone has heard of fixing a male rabbit? I had a purebred rabbit given to me know one knows where the owner is. When I went to check the sex, I found little cuts where the sac would have been. These cuts still had the scabs on them.

Yes Wanda, Rabbits are neutered all the time with varying success. If your Buck is healed and not bothering with the incision sites I think he'll be fine. Hope this helps.. :-)

I went to check someone's rabbit's sex and found, I didn't know what it was. Looked like greasy scabs where the testicles would be. I cleaned it up and found glands under the mess that I never knew were there. It was a doe by the way. The vet said that it was some over active sex gland reaction and would clear up. Just to let you know to check to be sure. I encourage people to neuter their rabbits if they want them to be friendlier or want to keep a male with a female that they picked out because they liked the color.

We had our pet rabbit neutered, was hard to find a vet who knew how, but Bun-Bun healed up just fine and lived for 11 years, very old for a rabbit.
