All weekend I have been singing "Leaning on the Everlasting Arms of Christ" I love that song! I love the image of leaning on Christ. What images do you think of when you hear that song. Have there been times when you had to lean on the everlasting arms of Christ?

I lean on His everlasting Arms for such a time as this. He holds me when I'm lonely, the comfort of his arms reminds me that I am always loved, they are protection for me when I am afraid, and the strength I received helps me continue day by day. Many times they are the only arms to lean on. And they have proven to be sufficient.

I see the comfort and safety of being able to rest in the finished work of our Lord.  I am reminded I can cast my care upon Him and enter into His rest.  What joy in knowing we can lean upon Christ!  Thanks for the question Denise, it caused me to 'selah' on the lyrics of that great hymn.
