Finding an engine number

greenspun.com : LUSENET : ACL and SAL Railroads Historical Society : One Thread

My wifes great uncle was an engineer for SAL in the 20's thru 40's,I think. He was the engineer on a passenger train that derailed near Oldsmar,Fla.on july 15,1925,his name was L.S.Rogers.We have an original copy of the St.Petersburg Daily News but I cant make out the engine #.I would like to model an engine of the same type and number.Oh!, the cause of the wreck was that sand had washed over the tracks, caused by heavy rains.Any information would greatly be appreciated. I tried looking up this wreck in the ICC accident reports. It was not listed. If you can send me more details, perhaps a copy of the article, I can try other sources.
