I was using Adaptec VideOH with the including software ClipView to capture movie from VCR to PC. I can preview my video on the ClipView preview screen, but when I hit the RECORD button the whole program freeze. I've tried a couple of times including restarting my computer, and it's still not working. Can anybody tell me what's wrong with it and if there is software update where I can find it?

here are some thoughts.. make sure your PC's parrallel port has been set to ECP mode. check your output file destination. turn off all other programs (including screen savers). try different capture rates (starting with the lowest). restart the program and do not enable preview.

You need to get a patch for your clipview. It is called Patch_204.exe and can be found at http://www.dominadm.com/ftp/Drivers/ClipView/
