I have painted a Southern loco with an Accupaint Imitation Aluminum stripe, but the paint spilled and eventually dried up. What can be used to match Imitation Aluminum from another paint source? What kind of mixture comes close?

Answers

The best match for SR Imitation Aluminum seems to be Scalecoat MofW Gray #20. This color matches the prototype right on the nose (literally in the case of E and F-units), and therefore should match the Accupaint, assuming it was correct.
