Hi all,Got a 3.5 hp briggs and stratton engine on a water pump. It will only run if the choke is on at least 3/4. Any ideas before I ruin my saturday? I'm sure there is a simple answer,I'm just to close to the problem to see it, thanks in advance,Daryll

Have you checked the sparkplug and airfilter? It might help to put a new plug and filter on it and a little carb cleaner in the gas.

Sounds to me like it's getting too much air, so there might be a leak??? Or it's running to rich so you could adjust the jets on the carb. Good luck. I hate small engines. They hate me, too!
