Just as a matter of sharing info, I noticed in the obituaries of the New Bern, NC Sun-Journal that a Railway Express Agent for the ACL had passed away. Name: Henry Gray Reeves, Age: 99, Died: 5/4/01, Where: Whiteville, NC. It stated that Mr. Reeves served the ACL/REA in New Bern, NC, Whiteville, NC, and in Atkinson, NC. Total years of service was noted at 49 years. In the event anyone wishes to actually see the obituary, go online to the "Sun Journal"

Because my wife's family is from the area I tried to check this out as you suggested; however, the Sun Journal only allows you to see current and "day before" obits. Do you know how to check their archives?
