Looking for a Particular Cookbookgreenspun.com : LUSENET : Countryside : One Thread |
I have been looking (for a long time) for a cookbook entitled "More with Less Cookbook". It was published by Mennonites. I'm not sure when. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks, Debbie

I don't have anywhere I can send you right now to get it but my copy ws printed in 1976 by Herald Press, Scottdale PA 15683 Library of Congress Catalog #75-23563. I know I have seen it in catalogs lately but don't remember where. Sorry! With the catalog number you should be able to get someone to order it for you though.

I just got mine from amazon.com along with her companion book living more with less. I read both of these when i was in college in the late 70's.

Sorry, I forgot to say the author is Doris Janzen Longacre. Good luck!

Wonderful books, they are frequently carried in Christian book stores.

Hoeggers carries this new. I did offer mine to another gal on the sprouted wheat thread, if she doesn't want it, you can have it for postage. I only paid 50cents for it from a flea market. I have copied all of my favorite receipes from it. It is a great cook book! Vicki

I purchased a copy through http://abebooks.com a couple months back. It's one of the best cookbooks I have found in years.

Try ebay (that's where I got mine), half.com, or do a search under mennonites. They have a website that has a book section and I think you can order directly from them. Has anyone made the Ruggenbrotten (rye bread)? When I made it, it took forever to rise. The recipe did not include a second rising but I let it rise a 2nd time anyway. It had good flavor. Was it my yeast or have others had problems with this recipe?
