Do you get all silly and sentimental about your car? What about other inanimate objects?

I really felt bad when I sold my red escort, it had been my first new car. I felt like I was letting an old friend go. but then I'm silly and sentimental anyway.

I kind of miss my POS 1989 Dodge Omni, if only for the fact that I could speed around like a go-cart and if I killed the car, it wasn't really a big deal. That car was really freaking resilient. Now I'm all like decent driver-y and shit (to an extent) because I'm terrified of hurting my car. I haven't even gotten the thing over 80 yet. Sad... the Omni was only supposed to go up to 85, but I got it up to over 100 on a regular basis... good old car.

In high school, I began playing street hockey. I figured it'd be a good idea to put some good juujuu on the whole situation, so I got myself a Mario Lemieux hockey stick--Hey, if you want to be the best, you align yourself with the best. And I WAS A BADASS with that stick (ask Sanford about the game at my 18th birthday party.) Then, one day, I was playing against my neighbor, and we were both going for the puck, and I tried to clear it with a slap shot, but instead of the puck, my stick made contact with his stick. The blade broke off. I cried that night... I almost had a funeral for it. The shaft of it is still on the porch at my parents' house...

Some things (Cars and computers especially so) tend to take on a personality of their own. So they feel more like a friend (or, in some cases, Satan) than an object.
