.mov to mp3/wav convertergreenspun.com : LUSENET : Video CD : One Thread |
Hello, can anyone tell me where I can download a software which will help me convert video format into audio ones. I have some files in Quick Time Movie format and I would like to convert them to MP3 or WAV format. Even .mov to .rm would be fine, because I can convert .rm to audio. Thanks for your help.
Regards, Bojan

Quicktime has some type of audio protection on their movie files. I dont think there is a way around this protection, but if I find one, ill post it here. I used Quicktime Pro and extracted a wav file from it, but it was unusable to everything else but Quicktime.

stupid of me to post my name eh? hehehehe..........RAD Video tools should work. I've done QT5 to WAV. It can also do mov to avi, jpg, etc.....
if nothing works, windows can record. just open up the recording things in the mixer, select the WAVE or MIXER as your recorder, & record in some audio program

The best software is "Cool Edit Pro" but it is not free, you need to buy it first. goto: www.cooledit.com

Here's the easiest way that i do it. (U need a microphone)1. Open up quicktime 2. Open up Windows Sound recorder (accessories > entertainment) 3. Place mic near to your speakers 4. Press play in quicktime 5. Press record in sound recorder 6. Sit back and relax while it converts .mov to .wav!

If you want your RAD video tools to work, you must have the quicktime 4.0 not above. Go to oldversion.com and download the older version (remove your new on) and here we go, now you're in business.

lol instead of using the microphone and sacrificing vital quality, why not just plug your I/O cable straight from your pc speaker output to your microphone input connection. Then play the file and record using microsoft voice recorder... lol perfect quality. simple

use the sound recorder method but just:Edit>>Audio properties>>Volume/Advanced>>
and change source to Wave Out Mix

I've used QuickTime Pro quite successfully to convert .mov files to .wav files. QuickTime Pro costs about $30 and is worth it because you can easily edit the mov files. All you do to convert is export the file to .wav.
