Mine was a 1971 VW station wagon ( type III )....i ran it 170,000 miles and it was still running great when i sold it. it would haul firewood or go through 10 inches of snow with NO problem....it was incredible.

I just got a 1991 Toyota Corolla because my other car (1991 Mazda Protege) decided to explode her transmission. I love my new(ish) car. She (her name is Alice) handles so well... and actually SHIFTS GEARS when she's supposed to. I can't stop driving her. I've put about six hundred miles on her in just a little over a week.

My best car is the ONLY car I've ever owned...and it's not even technically mine!! It's a 91 Ford Escort Wagon LX....red, with fuzzy gray seat covers. Though it is a 91, it still gets 28 city/36 highway. Hot damn. Currently, the back suspension is broken, but that will be fixed in a few days. Yay! Great car...automatic, too. Hate them sticks.
