Need reliable check suppliergreenspun.com : LUSENET : Beyond the Sidewalks : One Thread |
Can any of you recommend a reliable, reasonably priced source of checks? (No, that's not a typo - I do have a reliable source of chicks, haha) I've been ordering from Checks Unlimited in CO for a long time but their service has badly deteriorated at the same time their prices have risen. My last 5 (five!) orders have been goofed up. I am out of patience with them and even mad. Grrrrr. Surely there is a better source. Who do you recommend? Sandy Stone

I ordered from The Check Gallery and didn't have any problems. I ordered there because they had a pattern I really liked, I didn't check to see how competitive their prices are. Their website is at www.checkgallery.com

I use Message!Products checks. You can choose an environmental organization theme on your check, and that organization gets a tiny amount donated. The checks are printed with soy-based inks and are 20% post-consumer recycled paper. You can choose between "single" checks and "duplicate" checks. Single is less expensive, of course. I wouldn't call any of them inexpensive, however. I think I could get checks cheaper from my credit union.link or you can call at 1-800-CHECK-OK. You can also request a catalog from them.

6/20/01 I was a customer of The Check Gallery until I discovered they were affiliated with a company called Life Checks, a company that prints anti-choice messages on its checks. So, if you want to support LC, The Check Gallery is a good, um, choice. If, however, you are opposed, you could try getting checks from www.messageproducts.com. Their checks are also printed on recycled paper, using soy-based ink.
