Any room? (I play nice...)greenspun.com : LUSENET : Beyond the Sidewalks : One Thread |
Hi everyone...Polly turned me on to this forum so I thought I'd drop in and introduce myself. Hubby and I live not far from Polly (yay!) and we're on our first real year Beyond the Sidewalks (although we're both farm kids) My 7-yr. old son splits his time between us and his dad in the city and thinks he has the best of both worlds. I'm putting in my first REALLY big garden this year. Have 26 4-week old pullets on my front porch (time to refurbish the old henhouse now--they're gettin' big!)and lots and lots of plans for the future. Hope you can stand one more friend here...

Welcome to the board! We like people who play nice! Disagreement is okay, as long as you're nice about it. ;-)

See - I told you they were a great group of people!!It's soooo nice to have other Countrysiders nearby. (PSSST - Cass, you forgot your Mom in your intro!) We had such a great time laughing and talking at breakfast the other morning - everyone around us was trying to listen in on our conversation to find out what was so funny - just joy at meeting new, like-minded friends!

Oops--Polly's right...I forgot about my mom! She doesn't live with us but she shares the garden space here and reads Countryside...if she had a computer she'd be here too! Thanks for all the warm welcomes!

Welcome, Cass!Joy pretty much summed up the philosopy for this forum. I don't think any of us want a group of clones who think exactly alike on every issue. Just reasonable people who can have civil discussions on a wide variety of topics without resorting to flaming and name-calling.
If you can accept a philosopy like that then you're more than welcome here. :-)
