Protection of Emulsion Transfers Outside

greenspun.com : LUSENET : polaroid transfers : One Thread

Does anyone have experience with protective coatings for emulsion transfers outside? E.g., different UV coating products, etc.

Any recommendations on products or techniques would be appreciated.

Thanks

Have you found what you are looking for to protect your emulsion transfers outside? What are you actually doing with them when you say "outside"? I know of a UV protective spray that I use sometimes on my image transfers, but spraying emulsion transfers with any substance could melt the emulsion. If you have found what you are looking for let me know and maybe we could discuss your situation in greater detail, Dick Berry

We have had good results by using Krylon UV Resistant Matte spray #1309. By applying three to four very light coats about an hour apart. This will build up a nice protective layer and not cause any undue color shift or emultion damage.
