REV. JOHN J MORANT AND REV D.R. MORANTgreenspun.com : LUSENET : A.M.E. Today Discussion : One Thread |
In January 2001, I started researching the Morant Family from Vicksburg, Mississippi. I posted a message on this site and received a lot of responses. I located my great uncle, Rev. D.R. Morant's great grandchildren and gained more knowledge about my heritage. I am in the process of making arrangements to meet my cousins for the first time. I'd like to thank God for putting me in touch with the following wonderful people: Mary Prince (thanks so much! You opened new doors for me and my family), Rev. Cedell Raggs (thanks for helping me find my 89 year old cousin in Jackson, MS), Rev. Vincent Ballard (thanks for being so patient with me), Rev. Johnnie Babour (you are too kind), Ms. Jacqueline Brown (Wilberforce University), Yolande Robbins (The Jacqueline House African-American Museum in Vicksburg, MS), Christine Chouccoli (Warren County Library for helping me obtain the book my great grandfather wrote "Mississippi Minister")! Words cannot express my gratitude! God Bless You!
