PC Browser Alert March 26, 2001 Microsoft Internet Explorer 6 Public Preview Microsoft has officially unveiled the first public preview of its standalone, next-generation browser. Among the new features is a Personal Bar that integrates all sorts of tools--from news tickers to media players to a My Contacts bar. Windows 95 users should note that this latest edition of IE will not run on their systems. To preview IE 6, you must have Windows 98 or later installed.

LOADS FAR FASTER both at startup and web pages.

Searches are very fast in Windows2000 Explorer and on the net.

All in all, an incremental upgrade worth having and the beta is ready VS. the horror that Netscape 6.0 tried to inflict on the world.

This should bury Netscape.
