IMPORTANT MEETING. On April 18 at 10:00 and the Overseas Private Investment Corporation in Washington DC (details to be announced later) members of FIRM will try to meet with OPM to discuss the future of the informaiton management profession, including recognition by OPM. February 2001 Minutes

The session began with a summary from previous meetings and a further refinement of the work relating to skill sets, key job elements, and training needs accomplished in those meetings. The group set out to create a strategy to prepare for its next meeting with the larger information management community in which we also intend to invite representatives from the Office of Personnel Management and ARMA to:

· Lay the groundwork for recognition of the information management profession(s) by OPM · Discover the processes and milestones that would have to be completed to accomplish the objective

As soon as a location is identified a notice will go out with the time and date for this important April next meeting. Please plan on being there.
