Is this space between the bar end and the rubber grip normal?

Sorry for all the questions - but I can't seem to find anyone with one of these bikes to compare this stuff too.....hee hee. Not a bad thing....

I don't have that same gap between the bar end and the rubber grip. My grip and bar end are pretty much flush with one another.
