I am trying to find someone who can help me identify a particular Art Deco artist.

The piece I am interested in identifying is a statue of a woman on tiptoe with her head and upper body tilted backward and a large sphere in her outstretched hands. This is a frequently reproduced image. I am trying to determine who the original artist of this piece is, and also whether the image is copyrighted?

Any help you can provide would be appreciated.
