Hydroqinone only paper developer

I heard that hydroquinone can be used alone to produce warm tone look on neutral & cold tone paper. Anybody has the formula or has an experience with that? What about the contrast & grain?

Grain? In printing paper? You jest, surely.
Actually, according to the text books, the print image colour is governed by the grain size, with warmer tones being associated with finer grain. I've never verified this personally, nor felt the need to.
Chlorquinol developer is supposed to give the warmest print tones. I've never heard of a Hydroquinone only print dev, but I'm willing to stand corrected.

The old Agfa 120 formula is hydroquinone only. It gives warm tones at high dilutions. Control contrast with paper grade. Grain will not be a consideration. The formula is here: http://unblinkingeye.com/Articles/Developers/Formulas/formulas.htm

Try Ethol LPD. Warmth/Coldness is controlled by dilution. I do not believe it has any metol.
