The US Individual Champs and World Champs Team Trials is in New York (near Syracuse) on May 12/13. They've set up a sliding fee scale based on how early you enter. If you enter before February 1, the fee is $16 per day (less $3 if you are a USOF member). The fee scale increases to a whopping $63 per day if you register after May 6.
