I am asking for prayer. One of the churches in our town has a 20 foot cross in front of the church and yesterday someone threw a molatov cocktail (a bottle filled with gasoline and a rag at the end of it.) at the cross to try and burn it. The church is call E-Free, they have about 700 members. I just got off the phone with the pastor who is a dear friend. I told him I would ask this board to pray. This is the fourth time they have tried to burn this cross. After the third attempt the congregation encased the cross with steel. There are a lot of people in this valley that hate Christ, many satan worshippers. The pastor said he took the cross burning as a compliment. That they knew the power of Christ and wanted to defeat it which they can't!! Please pray for this congregation. And no it is not a black church. Thanks so much.

Rev. Rogers it sounds like you are recovering from your pneumonia. It is good to hear from you. I have been praying for you. I would now like to submit this prayer for the E-Free church.

"Heavenly father please forgive me for my sins before I approach the throne of grace and mercy. Heavenly father you are God almighty and nothing good or bad can happen without your permission. You are a sovreign! You are the most powerful one known and the devil himself can do no harm unless he gets permission from you just as he had to receive permission to test Job. Heavenly father I ask that you will strengthen the faith of the members of the E-Free church. I dont't know why you allowed this cross to be burned on the property. However, I do know that all things work together for the good of those that love the Lord. I pray that the members of the E-Free will pray and fast about this tribulation and look to you for the higher lessons about yourself that you are teaching them through this trial. I ask these things in Jesus name because I believe that Jesus would only ask you for things that are in the will of God. Amen."
