Hello,I have been a collector/dealer of vintage boxing memorabilia for nearly twenty five years and during that time have accumulated a fairly extensive archive of original reference sources. Perhaps I can be of assistance if you wish to e.mail specific informaton which you are seeking.

Hi, I am interested in Ike Weir for a different reason to you. I am trying to get a monument erected to ike in his home town of Lurgan, Co. Armagh, N. Ireland. He was not from Belfast as so many people believe but he did most of his training and sparring in Belfast. I am a member of the Master Mc Grath community festival, which takes place in mid August every summer. I thought it would be a good idea if we , as a community group, did something to honour a local hero. We have one or two old photographs of Ike if you are interested and likewise we would be glad to see what photographs and other information you have on Ike . Many thenks, John Hegarty
