Who here has broken serious laws (I'm not talking about driving tickets here). For example, I've been detained for Tresspassing on government property. Has anyone here ever been arrested? If so for what? Any one almost get arrested? The floor is open for discussion...

I got arrested in September of this year....it was great. I was protesting Kohl's use of sweatshop labor in Nicaragua (I was protesting in Rosedale, MN, though), and we marched to their parking lot, and then 15 of us participated in civil disobedience. We were peaceful, but yelling. It was a great experience. We got booked for "trespassing." Ha. We got our sentence bumped from a misdemeanor to a petty, since the law firm prosecuting us happened to be a union law firm....the partners leaned on the prosecutor to accept our pleas/deals...and she did. Heh.
$100 fine, or 20 hours of community service. I chose the community service, and have been volunteering at the Resource Center of the Americas (www.americas.org), which is so much fun it makes me want to go out and get arrested again, so I can do more community service.
But I'll be volunteering there for sure next year...it really is a lot of fun.

Sure, I've donea crap load of illeagal stuff, but I've never gotten caught for it. Tresspassing, shoplifting...mostly tresspassing though. My friends and I used to drive around looking for interesting places to go, like people's backyards up in the hills. it got a little redundant, so I stopped, but they still do it. they almost stole someone's pet peacock once...

Jessica, that's great. My friends and I do stupid things as well. Sometimes we'll just drive around and change the wreaths on people's doors or even take a picture of us on they're lawn with lawn ornaments in sexual positions (with a mask on of course . . . on the ornament). Then we'd send the people the pictures in the mail or drop them off at their door in a paper bag with the ornament tied up with the blind fold. One time we sent a ransom letter to a person saying we stole their tulips. It happened to mention that if they wanted their tulips back alive they'd have to send us $1,000,000.00 in the post to a PO Box that we made up.
It's actually sad. We're the popular girls at school that are really good but as soon as we're out of our uniforms, we're shit distubers.
Oh and no... I have never gotten charged (except with careless driving but that is traffic)

When I was younger I shoplifted a bunch, and I think I committed an act of breaking and entering. One Halloween some friends and I snuck into the town opera house and wandered around and stuff. But the thing is, we got in through the backdoor which is always unlocked, and, I kid you not, right inside the police station. So like 5 of us kids just walked right in through the police station, so I'm really not sure it counts. Then we went out the front door, and one person was covered in shaving cream and he got it all over the front door and a cop came over and threatened to call our parents and charge us with like, messiness or something, but we cleaned it up and it was all good.

I once was accused of shoplifting by this saudi arabian or hindu guy in this shop down in galveston when I was 15. it was really silly. it was because I had picked up this wolf box and contemplated getting it for my cousin and even stood in line for abit but it was taking too long so I changed my mind and put it back right where I got it. the owner was staring ludicrously at us.anyway, I just sorta shook it off as the guy staring off into space or something and not watching us, so me and my friend went to leave and when we were at the door the owner followed us and said, "show. me. the. box!" very slowly and calmly and I looked at my friend and back at the owner a few times and my friend mouthed 'let's just go' but I fidgeted abit with my hands and decided it was best to prove I wasn't a shoplifter.
I went to where I put it and he followed me..I pointed and he nodded, I left. my friend and I told her mom what happened and she almost went back to cause an uproar but we decided to let it go.
besides that, I've trespassed, ignored curfew, damaged someone's front yard [almost got in trouble for that, but got off it since we just stole the lady's roses for our mothers for mothers day...we didn't know any better; feeeh]

Ok Amber I'm calling the cops right now :) Besides lots of driving tickets the only other thing I've ever got into law trouble for was when the parents of this boy I went to school with tried to get me for assualt after me and the guy got into a fight. The guy was bigger than me and they tried to get me for assualt! Stupid. The judge laughed at them when he saw how much bigger the guy was compared to me.
