I am new to the denomination. I have only been a member of the AME church for two years so my question may seem very obvious to some but I was wondering where do conference claims go. I contribute to all connectional and conference budget requests but I have no idea what that money is used for. As a former baptist this is very new to me. Can someone please explain.

The connectional claims support the work of the AME Church worldwide, including our educational institutions, bishops and general officer salaries. The AME Discipline has a complete breakout of the General Conference Budget. Blessings
