I need a recipe for canning grape juice, I think I someone told me you could put a few grapes and sugar in a mason jar and pour hot water over it and it would seal?? Does anyone know if this would work??

I put 1 cup of washed grapes in a quart jar. Add 1/2-1 cup sugar. I usually put 1/2. Pour boiling water in & put on lids & bands. They will usually seal, but I put mine in a hot water bath for 10 minutes just to be on the safe side. It needs to sit a few months after you're done to develop a good grape taste.

I don't measure the grapes, just put some in a jar with 1/2 c or so of honey, pour boiling water over grapes, water bath 10 minutes. Let it sit about several months. Enjoy!
