I use wine bottles. They are colored which keep the vinegars better.

I've used a variety of bbq sauce bottles.

I found some beautiful dark green soda bottles at work, with screw on tops, and my co-workers saved them for me. I'm trying to think of a way to make to tops more attractive. What is everyone's favorite flavor vinegar? I generally made it with purple ruffled basil.

To start with, my favorites are Dill, and Garlic, although Basil is pretty close, and Tarragon is not far behind. Johnny's seeds has screw top bottles that are just fine, although a little pricey. I found the exact same bottles for 50 cents at a surplus place - American Science & Surplus. This is a wonderful source - get their catalog at. (If this doesn't come through e-mail me and I'll give you the address) We used these bottles for maple syrup as well. And they can be sealed with heat shrink wine caps for a little more class. Have fun and GL!

You can usually get glass ketchup bottles from restaurants. They work real well for me. Also if you use rose petals it makes the vinegar a pretty pink color.
