Well I am interested in finding out about the lives of the Chinese prostitutes forced to come here, and also about the lives of prostitutes during the Gold Rush. I tried to write a paper in college but I could only find one book. What are the titles of other books that I could read, that are factual and just a good read?

JoAnn Levy's novel "Daughter of Joy" focuses on a Chinese prositute in the 1850s. Curt Gentry's non-fiction work "The Madams of San Francisco" also offers much on this topic.
