I have burned a VCD using the NERO software and burned it witha Memorex CD-R. It plays on my DVD drive in my computer; however, it will not work on my DVD player. I have a GE (general electric) 1106P player. ANy ideas? Anyone have any luck with this DVD player? Anyone know the pros and cons of NERO?

Dave, you are one of the unfortunate souls with a 1st gen. player not capable of cdr/cdrw/vcd support. See vcdhelper.com for details. So its not the software, its your machine.

GE DVD will not play CD-R or CD-RW, only Pioneer can do. I have A Chiness make DVD (SUPER GDS VCD888E) I brought to USA. It work great on CD-R but not CD-RW.
