in his child hood his real mom and step mom and also his brother died of tb. his 1st love died of brain cancer. and when his step mom was dieing of tb his step dad was cheating on her in there own home right in front of edgar so edgar got mad and his step father dis owned him.

no not really. What i know is that Edgar's mom, stepmom, a woman he respected and his best friends mom, his wife(Virginia --also his cousin) all died of TB. I never heard about the cheating, the reason Edgar was dissowned was because he became a gambler and was kicked out of school and West Point, Allan would not stand for that, so he dissowned him. Plus he never wanted Edgar in the first place.

Poe's parents were both traveling actors. He became an orphan due to the death of his mother and disapperance of his father. He was adopted by the John Allans family, where he got his middle name. They put him through schools and universities until he was in debt due to gambling, and Mr. Allan refused to pay for it.
