I AM A FRESHMAN THIS YEAR AND I AM HAVING A HARD TIME FIGURING OUT ALL OF THE RULES OF SWIMMING FOR A HIGH SCHOOL TEAM AND A USA TEAM. IS IT POSSIBLE TO SWIM FOR BOTH EVEN IF THEY ARE IN THE SAME SEASON? IS THERE SOME SORT OF LAW AGAINST IT? IF ANYONE HAS AN ANSWER PLEASE SUBMIT IT. IT WOULD HELP ME GREATLY. THANKS

There really isn't a for sure answer to your question. I am a junior this year and i had the same question, the best thing to do is talk to your coach about it. Rules vary from state to state, and in some cases between conferences. For example, i live in michigan, and the Michigan High School Athletic Association (MHSAA) says that i can compete in up to two (2) competitions outside of H.S. swimming while in season, and there is no restriction on out of season competition. Again, your best bet is to ask your coach. Good luck!

The rules reguarding weather you can swim both club and High School varry state to state and school to School. High School Swim teams are driven and determined by how good the club team is in the area.so there would never be a rule not letting you do both, UNLESS you swim for a club in a different state than you High School team is. That is not allowed in High School Rules Many times the rules are done by partisipation You must be at so may practices Etc.
