Just go watch that movie, okay? GILLIAN ANDERSON (For those of you with spaghetti for brains, she's from the X-Files. SCULLY, remember???) plays Moro! And who, you may well ask, is Moro? A freaking big WOLF GODDESS!!! I personally liked Akoto, the elephant-sized Boar God. ("FOREWARD, my warriors! ...If you are truly master healer, give my warriors the power to kill the humans!!!") San the main character, got a bit whiny ("But I don't WANT to be a demon!!!") and the main character was kinda one dimentional, but the movie ROCKED!!! I even liked the bad guy, er, gal, Lady Hiboshi ("I grow tired of your curse, why don't you just CUT THE DAMN THING OFF?!?") who wanted to kill the Spirit of the Forest, and cut off it's head. I LOVED THE KUDAMAS!!! Go to your local Blockbuster of Family Video or wherever you rent movies and RENT PRINCESS MONONOKE!!!

If you liked Mononoke Hime (get it on dvd and watch it SUBBED. Dubs are evil, EVIL things that should be purged with fire and brimstone) you might also like other works by the same animaton master.

Check out: My neighbour totoro, or Kiki's Delivery service (if you want a more disney like kids movie, though you should try to find Kiki's in Subb, as disney butchered the audio tracks)

Laputa: castle of the skys, or Naussicaa, for more traditional anime type stories

and for pure japanese folklore type story, most definately check out Spirited Away.
