Editors Meeting 2 is...greenspun.com : LUSENET : MARP Editors : One Thread |
Sunday, September 17 at 9:30 pm eastern time. I've backed it up 30 minutes so we can get some more business in. This meeting is at EFNet's #marpeditors - and you need to use the same password to get in the room as the editors board.Skito - please join us if you can! I've chatted on IRC for over 4 years and nothing's happened(especially if you don't use a real name when they ask for a real name - I use Gameboy9 as a real name. I use an incorrect email address too.)
Agenda is as follows:
a. Regulation Report
b. Tourney Report
1. The 8 games to play will be selected here.
2. What settings we'll use will be selected here as well.
3. A new voting scheme will be determined.
c. Programming MARP(old business)
d. Editor's benefit of a DQed recording(old business)
e. Confirmation Levels
f. Staff Page issues
g. MAME TE update
h. Leaderboard changes
i. Meetings involving all people
j. New Business
Any additions - please let me know. GB9

so how do you use irc i got a client and i tried channel "#marp" but i couldn't connect, do i need to input a ip or domain name for the name service?

what you'll need to do is connect to an IRC server. The way you do this is by typing:/server irc.prison.net <--- this is an EFNet server - and is a good example.
When you see some form of the Message of the day(MOTD) - then you know you're on the server. THEN you can type /join #marp - or in the meeting's instance, /join #marpeditors marpeditors64 (the last word is a key or password you'll need to get in the room)
I hope this answers your question. :) GB9

You've met a net-split Skito - hang on and you'll be back in a few minutes.
