I have a antique Laurel wood cook stove that I want to sell. Does anyone know what they are worth?

Take a look at the wood ranges in the Lehman's catalog to see if there is one similar to yours. A rule of thumb is used in good condition goes for half the price of new, but that depends on a lot of factors. Any missing parts or cracks will detract from the value. Comes down to what the market will bear. You might try listing it on eBay with the specification of buyer pickup only.

CONDITION is main factor!!!!!!!!!!! I never price anything without first seeing it--inside & out!!! Depends on what the buyer is going to use it for!!!! I have sold stoves that were rusted badly & would not want to build a fire in that have sold for more than others also-- as they were going to use them for display in a business--so Condition--& what the buyer is wanting to use it for--as if a business buys from me they usually don't care that much about the inside of the stove--firebrick , rust Etc, & will give more for it/if the outside looks great! I never would give a price on anything without looking at it---same brand--same stove might bring hundreds of difference in price/depending on condition!! You might ask someone in the "buy/sell/trade", business in your area--I help hundreds of people & have lists of contacts that are usually looking for something. Sonda in Ks.

Original letter was back in Aug. 2000 so not sure if this will get any response but I'll ask anyway. I have a Laurel stove that someone sand blasted and never did anything with it. I would like to restore it but don't know what it should look like. Can you help?
