17 January 1998, Bolton at SJP, we won 2-1. The return of Alan Shearer from injury. To be fair, Peter Beardsley, playing for Bolton, to be fair, enthusiastically led the applause for his introduction, to be fair. We had been 1 up thanks to an early effort from Barnes, but the distraction of Shearer's warming up allowed Blake to equalize. A noisy crowd willed us on until Ketsbaia (my Lord) got his customary 10 minutes from the generous manager to make his mark. Right at the death he scored and kicked the sh*t out of the advertising hoardings, twatted Pistone when he tried to calm him down, tore his shirt off and had to be restrained from damaging the manager. Summed up by Hansen on MotD as: "Clearly mad". Epic.

Bottom of the league but thru to the semis. Bunch of glory hunters will have to go next season.

Wahey!!! Through to the semi's, the only Div 1 team there. I feel either a good hammering, or a Cinderalla story coming on. Well done me Porkie Pies!

The Pleazas are being carried by the fighting spirit of the injured god of defense. Dabs has a question for Softie, where is the neutral venue- not in London eh?
