I know this is going to sound very general, and make me sound a little ignorant, but I'm trying to discover more about the Mount of Olives from beliefs that are tied in with Jesus, to its place and context in history today. Literally any information would be greatly appreciated for my mini-research project.

Well, it's a mountain outise of Israel. I hear there are still olive trees there that are so old that they might have been there when Jesus leaned against them.
