Have your parents ever said, "You're just like me," and you were like, "UM, ACK! No! NO! NOOOOOO!!!!!"

very rarely. my mom thinks that my cousin mirna and i were switched at birth because i am supposedly just like my aunt myra and mirna is just like her.
the one time something similar happened was when i was having a conversation with my aunt and she says to me: "you're like me -- very conservative when it comes to being with boys. you don't just hook up with anyone"...and i'm like (on the inside, of course): uhh yeahh sure.
well, what she doesn't know...

I was told just last week that I (get this) WALK like my mother. Now what the hell is that?

well, my dad likes to tell me what I am!!! I hate that immensely. he once said, "of course, you believe in God. don't play with me. I know you do and so does your mom." and "you're outgoing. you like the outdoors. stop lying to yourself." he hardly knows me since I never have spoken to him about what I like for years...probably since I was 14 and even then I disliked the outdoors and complained about stepping in dirt! he's delusional.

I *am* just like my parents, so I can't really say anything about it. But it's ok because my parents are very cool people. (can you tell I don't live with them anymore? I thought so.)

ALL THE TIME! My mom always makes up excuses and say that I came from her, so I'm just like her. She says it about everything, and I mean everything. Once, she even told me that I would be over my period at a certain day only because she gets them for however long! She's done things like that on so many other occasions too, which makes me just sick.

Well, Dad once told my sister, "Scott is just like me at that age: always interested in electronics." I guess that's true except I'm not divorced with two kids and trying to cheat on child support.

Everyone says I'm just like my dad; stubborn, hot tempered, very impatient, but quick to forgive. I used to get really angry about it, but now I can see that they're absolutely right. I figure there are worse people I could be like.

Completely, but it's usually in looks. Eveyone I know does the : you have your mothers eyes and mouth, your fathers nose, your mothers smiles but your fathers cringe.Honestly, I don't mind. I lose my father two years ago and it makes me feel warm to know he's still half in me.
Sometimes my mom tries to tell me she did the exact stuff I did, and she knows exactly the way I feel because she was my age once. That bothers me. People don't realize, no ones the same. Given the same circumstances, NO ONE responds the exact same way.

i've noticed that i'm a lot like my mom, in the ways about her that are the least annoying.

I sound exactly like my mother. When I lived at home, I was constantly being mistaken for her over the phone, and sometimes she even got mistaken for me. We also look somewhat alike--she got her hair cut really short last year; now I'm growing mine out. Like your mother, she holds grudges--however, I have to admit I share that trait. Hmmm. I never really believed her when she said she used to write all the time. I know she's worked on some sort of novel loosely based on us, her family (I was horrified in junior high at the prospect), but I can't imagine her keeping a journal or something. I don't know. Probably, I'd be surprised. On the other hand, my father is a biology professor, and both my sisters and I all hate biology with a passion. So do my best friend and her brother, whose father is my father's best friend and colleague.

i hate that shit.even the suggestion of looking like them.they're stagnant in many ways while i'm fired up about all kinds of issues.i found this site under a search of the word misanthrope and i think i'll visit quite often now.i hate conformity but have challenged myself to face it for three years in trade for college money since i dicked off in school by joining the army.it's comical to look at many of these people.i'm now in a position of power to make fun of many of these people and they have no choice but to sit there and take it.well they have an alternative.....push ups and a particular favorite of mine......the donkey kick.i workout not to have the body that everyone desires but out of anger at all sorts of things.i don't buy into the make everything positive phil but beat them at their own game , be better than them.if you saw me you'd realize i have a lot of anger.i'm6'4" 272lbs at 2.3% body fat.beat them at their own game.
