I received a wonderful email from a friend, that I had lost touch with. She had helped me as a teenager with my Peace Project. Now she is doing research on Peace and Religion at the UN, and found me from this message board. I would love to hear from others who read this board, regardless, of denominational affiliation, or race. Jump in, and tell us about yourself. Thanks

I am a Lic. in the New York Conference and due to be ordained in 2001 at an Itenerant Deacon. I have told just about everyone I can think of about this website. During the general Conference many of us in NYC were viewing the site as well as printing out the info and passing it along. If anyone would like to setup a network for AME communication let me know.

Who is reading the discussion board?? Well for starters, I am!! I happen to be saved, sanctified, filled with the Holy Ghost, fire baptized and runnin' for Jesus for a mighty long time. And as we used to sing in my former neo-Pentecostal choir, "I'm not tired Yet!!" I teach church School and hold a position in my local lay Department. This year I hope to spearhead the creation of a Christian Book Club for similar connoiseurs of literature. My academic pedigree is irrelevant though I am thankful for having the opportunity to study at some of the finest 1st tier universities in this nation. I seek to bring a balanced discussion to issues of faith, science, history and reason. I take as my theological role models the Bereans mentioned in the Book of Acts and Elijah my favorite OT personality. Oh, and I'm married with two active kids [ages 5 & 7]. James Cleveland, the late Prince of Gospel Music once sang "I don't fell no ways tired" but then again he didn't have Joshua and Nia [my kids] to contend with :-) :-)

It is great to hear the responses to my question. I have received many private responses to the question also. I live in Bozeman, Montana. And it is hard to know what is happening around the A.M.E country unless you share that with me. We have two A.M.E churches in Montana. One in Great Falls and the other Wayne Chapel is in Billings Montana. I have met wonderful friends because of this board. Some have asked the population of Montana. It is 876,000 people. About 45,000 are Native American, and African Americans are about 2,000. Yes there is a NAACP chapter in the state. It gets lonely, but thanks to Rev. John, I can stay in touch. I hope others will share also. Rev. Denise Rogers

I read this message board. I am a member of Bethel AME in Detroit, Michigan. My son, Nazim, is a member of Oak Grove AME - the home church of newly elected Bishop Gregory Ingram. He is also a licentiate. When my son called from Cincinnati, we were able to have some very spirited conversations because I was up on what was happening thanks to Rev. John. I share the discussion board with my other friends and church members. If anyone has a method of disemination that they used to share information from this site with their congregations, please share. I can see where the sharing would be a blessing to both our congregations and A.M.E.-Today. Thanks
