Since there may be some new folks on the forum, I'll make this offer again. Several years ago I self-published a book on How to Make Extra Money in the Country. Sold OK, but not enough to justify another printing. Some 200 pages with over 300 possibilities. It is in Microsoft Word format. If you would like a copy as an attachment to an e-mail (it is a large file) contact me via e-mail. There is no cost as I broke-even on the project. You are welcome to leave a book review though.

It is a bit difficult to read in electronic form. What you pretty well have to do is to go through the index and then search on the item title (in caps) to go to that item. You are welcome to print out anything you want as long as it is not resold as I do have a copyright on the book.

Well, golly, shucks.

Actually how the book came about was I did a three or four part series on this subject for Countryside. Received a call from an editor for the Williams Publishing Co. in NYC (a biggie) saying she had read the series and would I be interested in submitting an outline and some content for review by her supervisors as they were considering a book along this line. By the time I had it together she had left their employment and I couldn't find another publisher interested. Decided to continue the project to self-publish. Actually, it is somewhat federal financed as I worked as a civilian financial analyst for the Air Force at the time in an office which was way, way overstaffed. My boss said he didn't really care what I did just as long as I looked busy. First PC I had ever used and most of the book was put together at that time. Have tried to update it on-again and off-again since. I basically broke-even on self- publishing it and really hate to just see this information sit in my hard-drive, so other Countryside subscribers are welcome to it. Cost to send as an electronic book is zero.

Ken, Thanks for sending the download. We were able to copy it to diskette to run on FDD. I know when my wife reads it, she will be thrilled. You definatly look "outside the box". I wish I had come to this forum before wasting money on so many of those "scheme" publications. You and the others here in the Forum really make me feel part of a community. Since logging in here, when I go into the garden I feel a new sense of ability with what I am doing . I'm still trying new techniques, only now I am confident of the outcome.
