Does this deletion mean that having finished the edu. requirement no longer stands? What if we're in process of obtaining degree, can we still be ordained. Most of us are in process and desire to finish our edu. however, will it not being quite finished still hold us back from ordination?

I disagree with the deletion because our Church today require educated leadership. The days of hooping and saying nothing is over. Education is not just for the Church but it is also for you as an individual.

The education mandate was not deleted. In fact the discipline now states that those seeking ordination for itenerate ministry as a deacon MUST have a BA. For Elder an MDiv. The only cases that may be exempt are for the missionary rule. I am coming up for ordination soon and I must fulfill all of my requirements.
